01Calendar

The next three events.

Confirmed β€” RSVP to save your spot Planned β€” register interest and we'll tell you when it's locked in
πŸ•

Why we ask you to RSVP: it helps us organise catering and the right-sized venue, and make sure there's enough equipment for everyone. If your plans change, just let us know so someone else can take your spot.

02Why come along

Breaking into IT is easier with people around you.

Studying on your own, applying for jobs, wondering whether you're on the right track β€” it can feel isolating. Our events are a regular place to catch up with people on the same journey, learn from those a few steps ahead, and ask the questions that are hard to Google.

Learn

Practical topics taught on real equipment and explained by people who work with it every day.

Community

A friendly room of students, graduates, migrants and career-changers building the same skills as you.

Ask questions

About study, certifications, labs, job applications or the Perth market β€” no question is too basic.

Network

Meet guest speakers, industry experts and peers β€” the people who often hear about roles first.

03What we run

Three ways to get involved.

Monthly

Technical sessions

A different topic each month β€” from VLANs and routing to firewalls, wireless and security operations. A short explainer, then hands-on time and questions.

Regularly

Face-to-face workshops

Longer, practical sessions where you build something real on Cisco equipment in small groups. Limited seats so everyone gets hands-on time.

Live catch-ups

Community & guest speakers

Relaxed evenings to catch up, share wins and hear from guest speakers and industry experts about how they got where they are.

04Further out

Coming up β€” register your interest.

These are in the works. Register interest and we'll let you know as soon as dates and venues are confirmed β€” it also helps us decide which topics to run first.

05Guest speakers

Learn from the people doing the work.

We invite guest speakers and industry experts β€” network engineers, security analysts, hiring managers and people who've made the same career move you're making β€” to share what they know and answer your questions.

Work in networking or cyber and happy to share your experience with the group? We'd love to hear from you.

06Questions

FAQ

Who are the events for?

Anyone building a career in networking or cyber β€” students, recent graduates, international students, migrants and career-changers. You don't need to be enrolled in a Netlabs365 program.

Do I need technical experience?

No. Each event lists its level. Community catch-ups are open to everyone, and technical sessions start from the basics before going hands-on.

Why do I need to RSVP?

So we can arrange catering, book the right-sized venue and have enough equipment for everyone. Confirmed events may have limited places.

What's the difference between RSVP and register interest?

RSVP is for confirmed events with a set date and venue β€” it saves your spot. Register interest is for events still being planned; we'll contact you when details are confirmed.

Where are events held?

In Perth. Venue details are shown on each confirmed event and included in your RSVP confirmation.

07Stay in the loop

Never miss an event.

New dates, guest speakers and technical session topics go out in the newsletter first.

Event dates, topics, venues and speakers may change. Confirmed attendees will be notified by email of any changes. CCNA and Cisco are trademarks of Cisco Systems, Inc.; Netlabs365 is not affiliated with Cisco.
